Your Guide to Moving Overseas as a Care Assistant Before the Year Runs Out (With Top 5 Countries with Visa Sponsorship)
If you have your international passport, you have your care certification, you have at least six months care experience, and you have a WAEC, GCSE, NECO or any high school diploma, I want you to focus on this post. Today, I will be showing you the right resources to move overseas before the year runs out as a care assistant.
Yes, there are countries who are willing to take in migrant care workers. They are opened and they’ve not closed their pathway for this year 2025. This allows you to move with your dependent, so you do not need to worry if these countries would allow your family to come in. 100% you can move with your spouse and your children. You also get a straight PR when you arrive in the country and you start working. This is a fantastic opportunity I believe every one of you shouldn’t miss today.
So if you’re interested, want to know the names of these countries, how to begin, how to send in your applications, and most importantly, companies, organizations, and recruiters who are hiring right now, then stick around.
Country #1: Canada
Canada is known for its amazing pro pathway; that is, you’re not just coming in as a mere worker but you’re coming in with PR. This gives you guarantee and rest of mind to know that you have a stable ground in that country. While the UK is busy making changes to its immigration policy, Canada has its border wide open for genuine people who are willing to come into their country to contribute, boost their economy, and give in their best. This is a legal and legitimate pathway that enables you to move into Canada and the requirements are basically low.
Top 3 Agencies for Foreigners Seeking Caregiver Jobs in Canada:
Let me share with you the top three agencies in Canada that are absolutely killing it in connecting foreigners with caregiver roles. These agencies can connect you. Take a note as I call their names now and go to their website today.
- Eligibility:
- High School Diploma: It could be anything from your own country. In Nigeria, they call it WAEC, and I think we use NECO and GCSE.
- CLB 4: This is the Canadian Language Benchmark 4. It could be IELTS or another English proficiency test to prove your knowledge in understanding, speaking, hearing, and reading English. It could be French.
- Good Police Clearance.
- Pathways: You can come in via various pilot programs, like the Home Care Support Worker Program, the Rural Community Program, and many more.
- Benefits:
- Move with Dependents: There’s no restriction, unlike the UK.
- High Salary Pay & Family Reunification.
- Free Health Insurance for those working in the care sector.
- Employers: From my research, there are over 2,000+ employers who have the ability to bring in international care workers.
If you still have the goal, aim, or dream of moving overseas before 2025 comes to an end, then Canada should be your top destination.
Country #2: Ireland
With its growing and aging population, Ireland is seeking and demanding care workers. They have now expanded their list of occupations in the General Employment Skill Permit and Critical Employment Skill Permit to include care jobs. If you are in the care field, whether you’re a doctor, nurse, or care assistant, there’s something for you in Ireland.
- Why Ireland?
- Stable Immigration Policy: You don’t hear them coming out every now and again like the UK saying they want to scrap this pathway.
- Career Growth: You can start as a care assistant and grow to become a nurse.
- No IELTS Needed: You don’t need IELTS to move in via the care pathway.
- English Speaking: It is a good place for migrants who speak English to come in and settle easily.
- Eligibility:
- Care Certification: Diploma 3 or anything equivalent. In Ireland, it is called QQI.
- Benefits:
- Move with Dependents.
- Opportunity to get your Stamp 4 residence.
So many agencies, employers, and recruiters are seeking care workers to move into Ireland. Whether you are a care worker in the EU, Africa, or in the UK seeking to migrate out, Ireland should be your go-to.
Country #3: Germany
Yes, I know most of you will be like, “Oh, what of the language barrier?” Trust me, there are English-speaking jobs in Germany for care workers. Germany has been in the business of recruiting international care workers from the Philippines, Africa, and even EU countries, and they give working permits.
- Pathway: For Germany, it is a straight residency pathway. That is, you’re moving in as a care worker and you’re getting a permanent residency to stay in that country whilst working.
- Benefits: There’s also the benefit of coming in with your dependents.
Country #4: Australia
Australia recruits international care workers to be precise, and they do that in various pathways. You can even successfully get a care job in their Green List role, which means a job that allows you to come in as a permanent resident.
- Eligibility:
- Experience: One to two years of paid care experience.
- Skills Assessment: This is very important. It assesses your skill to say yes, you qualify to come and do the care job in Australia.
- English Test: IELTS is needed, and the requirement is kind of low. A band five would qualify you (General, Academic, or UKVI).
- Good certifications, good criminal background, your international passport ready, and most importantly, a job offer from Australia-accredited sponsors.
Country #5: New Zealand
When you hear Australia, you get New Zealand. They’re basically the same, like brothers and sisters.
- Eligibility: With New Zealand, however, they don’t need the skills assessment. No. All you need to do is get the right experiences and get the right certifications to apply for this job.
